RADIO TARDIGRADA
RADIO TARDIGRADA
Live Digital Performance • Sat 18 July • 16:15 • Main Hall
RADIO TARDIGRADA is a multispecies gaming performance combining live microscopy, video, sound, and game-based storytelling. Working with tardigrades as microscopic survival agents, the performance creates a hybrid interface where scientific observation, speculative narrative, and audience interaction meet. Through live screen-sharing and Discord chat, audiences encounter organisms usually invisible to human perception, opening questions around survival, stress, ecology, and more-than-human entanglements.
ABOUT THE ARTIST:
Xristina Sarli (they/them) is a hybrid curator, artist, and researcher working at the intersection of ecology, bioart, and immersive technologies. As co-director of Top Lab, Berlin’s first DIY biolab, they engage in experimental biological practices and transdisciplinary research centred on multispecies collaboration and regenerative systems.
An award-winning animator and 3D/XR artist, Sarli creates installations and performances that function as living interfaces.
Their background in game art and immersive media informs a practice that approaches technology as an interface for ecological attention, anti-colonial science and activist worldbuilding, understanding ecology as multiplayer, a system of negotiated alliances where more-than-human agencies actively shape shared worlds.
