The Outsider's Perspective by New Alterations

  • Finch Cafe/Restaurant 12 Sidworth Street London, England, E8 3SD United Kingdom (map)

New Alterations presents the Outsider's Perspective. Curated by Goke. Hosted at Finch Community Cinema.

From the foreigner’s viewpoint, cinema reframes the “elsewhere”: sometimes with curiosity, sometimes with distance, often revealing more about the filmmaker’s position than the subject. This strand probes the ethics of looking, asking what can be learned - and what remains obscured - when cultures are mediated by outsiders.
