is coming to the Conway Hall 18-19 July 2026!

The 3rd edition of KONTEKST Film Festival will span across two days and deal with the theme of ENTANGLEMENTS.

From microbial ecologies to interspecies care – from environmental collapse to queer kinship with plants and animals, we will be in dialogue with critical art that subverts the mechanised, hierarchical, sanitised constraints of our anthropocentric reality. The keyword is “nature”, let’s zoom in and un-/de-/re-contextualise.

We look forward to a weekend of work by emerging practitioners across ethnographic film, experimental moving image, installation, workshops and live performance. At the forefront of our event is connection, accessibility and a hope that you might leave the venue with a slightly different perspective than you came in with.
